Attendees, Ed Gershon, Art Roberts, Judy Dowd and Randy Nolan
1. Approved January 2010 minutes
2. Reviewed covenants report of Tilton Bernstein
3. Reviewed Mirah Horowitz’s covenants comments on items that should be closed.
4. Randy reported that he is forwarding to the Covenants Committee his report one week in advance of the meeting so it can be reviewed by Covenants Chair.
5. Management Report:
a. Researched the agreement with Visitation Preparatory School to dump snow on their property. The agreement has been informal and not in writing. He was asked to obtain an agreement in writing which he was able to do for two years.
b. Max Ramirez was provided with January minutes to post on the website.
c. Made arrangements with Tenleytown Trash for a community bulk pick up in the spring.
d. Contacted Hann and Hann to contact 3551W to discuss repairing front steps on a shared basis.
e. 3624W and 3741W have been mailed notices to bring their accounts current or they will be turned over to HOA attorney for collection.
6. Board, Randy and Covenants Committee to walk the property to verify which of the open violations can be closed. Those units that still have open violations will be scheduled for a hearing.
7. No Treasurer’s report as he was out of town. However Randy did indicate that the city is now billing the CWHOA a new fee of $7,800 per annum for waste water disposal. This will be a new line item in the 2010-2011 budget.
8. President’s Report:
a. Board agreed to assist CAG with their survey of noise Georgetown via spring newsletter.
b. FAQ and the Homeowner’s Handbook have been updated and posted to the website.
c. Updated Phone directory is still a work in progress.
d. Master Plan: We have accepted the bid of the Tilson Group (contractors who installed the street lights a few years ago. They know the CWHOA very well and were more than 20% less than the 3 other bids that we received. We are awaiting the final sign off by the DC Public Space Committee before we can begin construction. We hope to do the speed humps and the 37th and 36th street entrances in that order in the spring of 2010.
e. Dog barking issue was discussed and under advice of counsel we have proposed arbitration to the two parties and the board is no longer involved.
9. There was no other new or old business to discuss.
